hey everyone! here is where to leave your thoughts on Last Night at the Telegraph Club. You can do it while you are reading the book, or just at the end if you prefer.

Hi everyone! I loved Last Night at the Telegraph Club- Malinda Lo did not disappoint. Lily and Kat were so quirky and adorable, and I loved the innocence and exploration in their teenage relationship. This book made me wish I could spend a night out in secret at the telegraph club.

I loved this, love love loved this. I also really enjoyed the hints about the JPL’s research. I’m studying to become a EE right now, and so I’ve read a lot about NASA’s Space race era.

Yayyy so glad you loved it, and it seems like this book was perfect for you. Honestly the tidbits of history are really what makes this book for me. You can tell Malinda Lo really worked hard on researching about this time, which was awesome because I learned so much. Much more than I ever learned in history class honestly. Also it really added to the characters, the fact that they had detailed passions made them really come to life.

I just finished the book and i thought it was great. the middle felt like a little long in my opinion and a bit slow moving but I think it picked up in the end which made up for it. I thought the timeline was a good idea too, but a lot of did did go over my head because I have no concept of time and history. I will say this book did help with that though. I loved Lily's character a lot. I felt she was super relatable in a way. Sometimes you are just blind to your own gayness. Also high key thought Aunt Judy might be an ally but who knows. This book really made me want to go to a Drag King show too. Overall this book made me want to live in the 50's but also simultaneously made me never want to live in the 50's and made me super grateful to be existing at a time like now.

I know I’m coming late to the party of The Telegraph Club but life was chaotic these last weeks. ANYWAYS, this book makes me wanna open a lesbian bar and have different eras nights, and one would definitely 50’s themed. Everyone would have to dress up in that specific fashion and we’d play jazz. God it’d be great.
