SPOILERS AHEAD: I enjoyed this movie but it was saaaddd. Do not go into this thinking that you will experience joy. You will not. Maybe a glimmer of hope here and there but not much more than that. the whole point of this movie was to show the mundaneness and realities of life. one of the best parts of this movie is definitely the writing. We are taken through the story via one of the main characters, Abigail, diary. She is very poetic and there are a lot of lines in this movie that are beautiful. I thought this movie did a good job with the yearning, not too much but also not too little. The perfect amount of yearning! The reason I decided to go with a 3.5 is because it wasn't super captivating the whole time. There are points where I lost focus, and that is mostly because of how sad the overall tone of the movie is. I recommend though for sure. Great film.
